Analog Interface ProMUX-3

ProRF Wireless Encoder

When an Encoder to Readout cable length needs to be

greater than 20 feet, or when the Readout needs to be

placed in a remote location, the Wireless Encoder

system can be used to “replace the cable”. This 2

piece, 2 way system allows data from the Encoder to

be transmitted and received wirelessly by a ProScale

Digital Readout.

(Use Universal Receiver for PC or PLC connection.)

This self powered plug-in module is a 2-way transceiver that allows any

ProScale Digital Readout with SPC data output capability to send positional

or measurement data information wirelessly to a Universal Receiver.

This receiver is used with the ProRF SPC and ProRF Wireless Encoder

products to receive and acknowledge measurement information from any

combination of 1 - 8 SPC or Encoder transmitters.

Choose RS232 or USB output.

ProMux-3 is an easy to use interface providing

communication and control of one, two, or three

ProScale Encoders from a PC or PLC via an

RS232 serial interface. No Digital Readout is

needed as the ProMUX-3 provides power and

control signals directly to the Encoder.

(Model 150G/250G only)

The Analog Interface provides a method of generating

an analog DC output voltage that is proportional to the

currently displayed position. This output can be used as

an A/D converter input on a PLC (or other device using

an analog input signal). The AIU provides 0-5 or 0-10

VDC. (Requires Readout with SPC output)
